PΞB is pain, PΞB is joy, it’s an illness, but can be a cure, it’s machines at work, but as human as it gets, it’s metal and raw flesh, it’s about terror, horror, shock and trauma, and a remedy for all of the above. It finds beauty in the ruins, serenity in noise, liberation in chains … and chainsaws. Born out of a healthy disgust and a tendency for perfection, PΞB was puked into the world by Edelfaul-co-founder Ilia Gorovitz on drums and electronic devices and obscure Berlin underground celebtrity Asja Skrinik shouting, yelling and pushing buttons. The place of both conception and birth was that same furnace where pretty much most of our ideas are being spawned. To those who witnessed its first staggering steps, PΞB was some next level shit from the get go.

Market Saturée spans semi-consciously around the undefinitive realms of physical and emotional grind and hustle. Formed in 2024 in Basel, Switzerland by Eren, Leo-Pol and Mehmet, the trio finds the balance between hearing-health loudness levels and melancholy of the mosh. Random grawls under a wall of harsh and noisy grind beats which challenges the steps makes the non-sense a whole with the distorted guitars, horse-running bass drums, fast beats and brutal bass lines.

Market Saturée’s shifting personas of appearences changing site and mood specifically, carries out the perormers to play their characters of the day. The original music they compose and shape collectively, unties from complex structures to expressive forms of concrete brutality and extreme music. With the intimacy of playing in a survival mode, Market Saturée blends grindcore, mathcore, prog, metalcore, hardcore punk, noise and improvised music as they get sculpted with their language and expression to share the confused feelings of their zeitgeist.

Tiramisadness blends electronic textures with lush, immersive acoustic elements, creating a fluid soundworld reminiscent of cinematic and digital atmospheres. Using synthesizers, voice, and drums, she crafts songs that fit both intimate settings as well as bigger late-night stages. Drawing subtle inspiration from artists such as Genevieve Artadi, Flanafi, and Salami Rose Joe Louis, her music explores a unique sonic identity that feels both contemporary and still personal. Ultimately leaving enough space for the listener‘s imagination to unfold.

Pet Owner: In a handstand, perspective is key. The room remains unchanged, but people appear to alter. In reality, after a brief period, everything returns to normal. "While global sustainability discourse is discussed in sterile rooms, a sound machine made of bamboo appeares in Basel as a podium sounding the alarm of urgency." Wukir Suryadi performs a radical deconstruction of symbols of power and technology. An instrument made entirely from bamboo, named the Sustainable Sonic Engine, is presented not merely as a musical instrument but is directly used as a political podium.
Flexible, hollow yet sturdy, bamboo is transformed into a 'machine' that generates sound responding to the reality of the world today. Adapted from the local Javanese tradition, the word 'Titir' refers to an intense rhythmic beat as a sign of communal danger. When this bamboo machine is scraped, plucked, and struck to produce a noisy, ancient resonance, it is no longer used to control the narrative or deliver bureaucratic speeches. Through the Sustainable Sonic Engine, Titir appears as a deliberate artistic disruption.

Deli Girls is an emotionally charged dance punk project based in Brooklyn, NY, currently comprised of vocalist Danny Orlowski and DJ/producer Hatechild (head necromancer at Melting Point). The two are connected since over a decade in the NYC underground, and known for hardcore dance mosh pits, ongoing fund-raving efforts as well as their unforgivingly anti-establishment, queer freak values.

The Berlin quartet is virtually incomparable to any other German post-punk band. Never kitschy, consistently danceable, icy-cold and surfy at the same time. German lyrics, delivered inimitably in back-and-forth, choral, sometimes almost canonical, as if calling to us from a parallel universe. Die Stuttgarter Band Flora klingt, als wäre sie direkt aus der Indie-Szene der späten 80er um Labels wie Sarah Records ins Hier und Jetzt katapultiert worden. Beinahe verschwenderisch schmeißt das Quartett um die namensgebende Sängerin Flora mit makellosen Pop-Songs um sich. So fanden sich bereits auf der 2023 erschiene EP Time Stops Melodien, die sich bei rezeptiven Hörer*innen sofort mit schlafwandlerischer Präzision ins Gedächtnis einbrannten. Vor etwa 30 Jahren haben Bands wie The Ladybug Transistor oder Camera Obscura bereits an einem ähnlich entwaffnenden Popentwurf gearbeitet. Im Frühjahr nächsten Jahres erscheint mit Five Years (Treibender Teppich Records) nun das Debütalbum von Flora, auf dem sie – dieser Traditionslinie folgend – weiter am perfekten Pop-Song feilen.

Eggs is a Parisian indie rock band formed in 2017 by Charles Daneau (guitar, vocals), Grégoire Bayart (drums), Léo Deville (keyboards), and Manolo Freitas (bass). The initial tracks leaned towards jangle pop and lo-fi post-punk, reminiscent of bands like Television Personalities or The Clean. After releasing three EPs between 2018 and 2019, Rémi Studer joined on drums, and Grégoire Bayart switched to guitar. The band's sound evolved to include influences from indie rock bands like The Replacements or Guided by Voices. The group's first album A Glitter Year was released in 2022 with contributions from Margaux Bouchaudon (vocals, guitar) and Camille Fréchoux (saxophone and trumpet) from the band En Attendant Ana. This occasional participation turned into a long-term collaboration. In 2023, Erica Ashleson (vocals) and Cyprien Vandenbussche (saxophone) joined the project. The band released its new album Crafted Achievement in November 2024 with the addition of Côme Ranjard on steel guitar.

Pyrex’s post-apocalyptic punk slithers out of the melting pot that is New York City, nodding to influences ranging from early thrash to Crass Records post-punk and the city’s own storied hardcore lineage. Rooted in the classic acid-damaged sound of Chrome, Pyrex takes notes from disparate influences like Poison Idea, Needles and Crazy Spirit, delivering a rolling boil of punk nihilism with hints of psychedelia simmering beneath. Their latest, Slugman, is four tracks of irate punk fury packed into a taut eight minutes—all toxic sludge and raw nerve spilling in abundance. It’s nasty, unhinged and volatile but won’t leave your turntable for a long while. Approach with caution. (Fred Pessaro)

Traumatizer: This is blistering D-beat with a handful of huge, metallic riffing and a vocalist that eats nails for dessert. There’s a blown-out production that brings to mind Bootlicker’s earlier recordings but where the Lickers line American Hardcore with No Future stomp, Traumatizer goes full tilt into the noize and grips you by the throat. There’s no pogo present, just rage and violence. Toss it on while you take the late-night walk home from the bar. These 6 tracks will make a compelling case that those darting eyes and high hackles in the alleyway are the threat you were worried about. Those focused pupils from an animal whose only option is to take as many of you with them as they can. You didn’t even mean any harm, poor you. But here we are, kill or be killed. Prey or predator. No one gets out alive, we just measure blood loss for points.

Lemongrab (Berlin, DE) is a garage punk 4-piece known for their raw, cathartic live shows and art punk-fuelled studio efforts. Their influences travel from The Stooges’ proto-punk shenanigans all the way to The Clean’s jangly earworms, taking scenic detours for Pylon’s weirdo pop hooks on their way to Bikini Kill’s riot-friendly neighborhood. The group first introduced their patented brand of punk-tinged garage rock by way of elapsed-play, The Ones with the Brooms (2016), and debut full-length, It Doesn’t Sound Good but It Feels Awesome (2019) before relocating from Montréal, QC to Berlin, DE in 2020. Then came The Wet Album (2021), a 6-song essay further embracing their punk ethos, and sophomore full-length I Spy with My Little Eye (2024) via niche tastemakers U-Bac Records. Since forming, Lemongrab have received invitations from Synästhesie Fest (DE), Supersonic Block Party (FR), Jenseits
von Millionen (DE), Sled Island (CA), and POP Montréal (CA), sharing the stage with the likes of L.A. Witch, Broncho, Bodega, Cumgirl8, and Meatbodies. Sie ist da! Die neue Scheibe, auf die wir alle so sehnsüchtig gewartet haben! Friedhof der Moral kommt von keinem geringerem als Brezel Göring! Brezel Göring – die Grand Dame des Berliner Chansons bzw. des Chansons Kaputt, die funkelnde Punkprinzessin Kreuzbergs, die mit Glamour und anarchistischem Humor wie eine Flipperkugel an jeder musikalischen Erwartungshaltung abprallt – wechselt spielerisch und meisterhaft zwischen unzähligen Genres und saust ungebremst von einer Attraktion zur nächsten! Wo auf dem Vorgängeralbum Psychoanalyse Volume 2 Fragenzeichen den Plattenrücken zierten, müssten es hier eigentlich Ausrufezeichen tun, denn die Platte hat Schmiss, ist mitreißend, temporeich, macht gute Laune, ist sehr verspielt und extrem facettenreich. Vor allem ist sie extrem. Thematisch, lyrisch und musikalisch. Es finden sich Referenzen zu Klassik, japanischen Blues, Diskomusik, Punk, Hiphop und natürlich französischen Chansons. Friedhof der Moral ist ein musikalisches Feuerwerk, sprachgewaltig, voller filmischer Kurzszenen und bringt unsere Synapsen zum Glühen. Begeistert begeben wir uns auf die rasante Reise ins musikalische Universum von Brezel Göring – es ist eine unbändige, wilde und grenzenlose Reise. Gleich zu Beginn fliegen wir durchs All, durchqueren das komplette Planetensystem, fahren später über Italien, Frankreich und Griechenland direkt nach Tschernobyl, machen Halt im Stundenhotel, bleiben doch lieber in Berlin, schwanken die (Kreuzberger) Oranienstraße lang und treben an der Straßenecke auf den Frühling, um dann wie ein Ufo über dieser beschissenen Stadt zu kreisen und schließlich setzt sich die Reise düster und melancholisch ins Jenseits fort … Es ist eine sehnsüchtige, sanfte Note, mit der die Platte endet und mit lieblichen Melodien und zartem Gesang ein Abschiedslied an Françoise Cactus erklingt. So sind Einsamkeit, Dunkelheit, Sehnsucht und Tod auch bei diesen 13 Stücken stets wiederkehrende Motive und es gibt erneut einiges zu berichten aus der Themenwelt der Psychoanalyse: es geht um Obsessionen, Drogen, zwischenmenschliche Probleme, Trennungen, Vergangenheit und Aussichtslosigkeit. Die Texte sind tiefgründig und abgründig, dabei aber zuverlässig kurzweilig, poetisch, rabiniert, originell und wahnsinnig lustig. Wir treben auf Feuerlöscher, Fast Food, Flipperautomaten, fantastische Fahrzeuge, sind sexuell aufgeladen, verzeihen nie und begraben schlussendlich unsere Moral.
Brezel Göring bleibt sich treu und erfindet sich doch neu. Und er hat sich Mitreisende an Bord geholt bei Friedhof der Moral. Seine Band Psychoanalyse ist eine illustre Truppe an ständig wechselnden Musiker:innen und Sänger:innen, die mit ihren ungewöhnlichen Klängen und Stimmen die Platte bereichern.
